First Meeting with Luke - CEO

Questions from Luke's Email:

Does Northpass have any solution for adding a chat function within the course player? In the past, we've used an embeddable/installable chat function called Chatport, and I'd love to know if Northpass has encountered this before. We're very open to any other chat platform that can be embedded within the course player.
- Yes! ShipEX is a good Example of how to embed a chat bot.
- They want the traditional chat bot experience
Also, ideally we'd love to be able to embed/install a chat alongside a video, on the same course player page, which is not currently allowable within the system.
- Not sure I fully understand this one. Do you mean like captioning?
- iframe a chat bot in the additional information rich text boxes.
I wanted to see if it was possible to update/create activities through the API as this trigger isn't listed as one of the available options. This is needed for us in the migration stage so that we can import past user activity.
- Currently not possible, but definitely something that has been discussed. With acquisition, unsure of road map.
We're looking to create a page in the course player that will only be visible to the student after they have successfully completed the 2nd of two tests within the course. This is intended to display the rationale behind the answer to each question in the test.
- This is another item that's been requested before. It's not exactly available, but we have a few different options.
- In the short term, this is acceptable, but in the long-run, they would want it more dynamic.
- Compliance reasons, they need to show the learner the rationale for right and wrong.
- Main item is because of free-form courses, they don't want them to by-pass the quiz, find all the answers, and cheat.

Most likely going in a different direction; relying on zoom as course player to deliver videos and webinars
Zoom has a chat function embedded
Wants to embed ChaPort within the rich text of a course.
Main focus right now is to test the Zoom embed code and make sure it works. Ideally, with Zoom's chat bot.
First half of October launch. Wants to make sure they have all their bases covered.

Luke was expecting "the self-serve custom certificate portal to open up" and they built that into their game plan. They want more custom fields in a cert - license information, such as RN number. The most important part is compliance and customization. Each course needs to have custom verbiage. The per course uniqueness is the accreditation board. Each course is accredited by a different board.

WARN: They need custom certs PER course, which we don't do. I've involved Charles and Travis to solve for this. Charles will reach out to Luke if we can't figure this out.

Regroup on Rationale, Certs, etc

Wished it was faster
Ok - that it's on the next sprint. Not ideal, but they will take what they can get.
Wants to have the ability to switch out the background based on a person/course?
Ideal Scenario: Profess type and course for cert background. Person A/B complete a course. They have dif backgrounds.
- Bonus: NOT give certs (revoke?) based on profession type. They should be blocked from courses completely.

We need to wait for Austin to finish the design work.
Wants a timeline to plan for adding Rationale into the academy.

Turn off the CC button for all videos, no matter what.
Not important for the MVP.

Certificates course cards should go straight to the certificate. If course completed and showing in certs page, show cert.
